It is with great enthusiasm that I post on the blog today and tell you about the article in the Grunion Gazette, a local Long Beach newspaper. Kelly Garrison of the Grunion wrote a great piece spelling out the Art initiative that is underway at the Lagoon. The Creative Arts department consists of this blog and many other programs that use creativity and the arts to look at the Lagoon differently.
Click here to read the article http://gazettes.com and click on the 'FOCL Art Walks Add To Lagoon' in the Top Stories. Its an exciting day for Lagoon as more and more people will get to hear about all the great things happening in their community.
This is a Great Egert taking flight this morning. There was a lot of activity at the Lagoon, the birds must know that an article was written about their home!
If you are interested in seeing some wonderful photography and learning more about the Lagoon come to 4th Street Vine at 2142 E. 4th St. this Sat and check out 'ella' a photography show by Timothy Dunham. There is free wine and food from 4-6pm and is bound to be a great time!
Also be sure to check out our new signs on Park/Appian way. Its the best way to get the word out about events at the Lagoon. These signs were made at our Creative Arts Innovators meeting last night. For more information about the Innovators program or any other program feel free to email Taylor.Parker@yahoo.com or check out http://www.coloradolagoon.org/
It is a beautiful morning and the sunrise was glorious. I truly hope everyone has the opportunity to get outside and take a moment for themselves!
Have a great day!
~Timothy
